The Gallery

I think the theme of Moustachioed is quite a challenging one for the Gallery this week over on the Sticky Fingers blog.

Why do I struggle with moustaches / My truly awful ex had one for a start.  The only other person around me who has a moustache is the brother who kindly informed me I was “useless” a couple of weeks ago.  Can’t think why I have downer on moustaches.

I went into town today with my 84 year old Dad who lives with me.  I told him that the most positive image I can think of for moustaches is Freddie Mercury whose music and philosophy I so admire.  It was going to be a bit difficult to get a photography of Freddie Mercury.

As we stopped the car at a level crossing, an old man with the most wonderful white moustache walked past the car.  Typically, I did not have my camera with me.

When we got home, Dad told me had an idea for me and told me to get my camera.

So here’s my old man with his version of a moustache.

It fits the Gallery theme but more importantly it shows that he is still here, he has better ideas than me, he has great humour and he still tries his very best to make his daughter happy.

  19. Dad said to let you know he is 83 not 84 until July. That he thought his look said a lot about what the recession has done to pensioners and that if he is going into a sitcom, he wants a big wage packet. I am seriously thinking of setting him up with his own blog as he is so characterful and humourous
