Why should we celebrate mums? Well, I honestly think that until you have had a child you have no idea of just what an emotional rollercoaster being a mummy is. If someone had said that to me before I’d had my son I would’ve thought “what a load of tosh, how hard can it be?!” answer to that is VERY! Yes it’s rewarding, but also tiring, draining, difficult and sometimes lonely, especially if you’re a single mum or not working. I wouldn’t say being a mum is “a job” as such but it’s the most difficult thing I’ve ever done …. saying that, I wouldn’t change it for the world. x

Posted by Hazel Christopher | June 17, 2011, 10:56 pm
  70. Love reading blogs based around being a mum, with four children I can identify to most of what you’re saying!

  81. Have signed up to the blog for updates. the advice column is great. I also really like the recipes and the inspirational quotes. Would like to see more recipes coving special diets. I’m veggie by choice and gluten free by necessity and struggle to find recipes to suit my diet. My daughter is veggie (‘coz I don’t cook meat) but also lactose intolerant so trying to find meals to suit the whole family is ..challenging.

  84. Ok, signed up for the emails. What I like most so far is that you’re celebrating ALL Mums, the ones that can cope and the ones that can’t (which is all of us at some stage). Mums get knocked from all sides too often and it’s about time we celebrated everything about us including our beautiful bodies and the children that they give us. Rock on!
