Celebrating Mums is the website for you,the 21st century mother.
Celebrating Mums recognises the great contribution that mums give not only to your own families but also to your local and global communities.
Celebrating Mums is for all mothers, those who find it a struggle and those who find it a breeze. In reality, most mums probably fall somewhere between those two extremes.
Celebrating Mums tackles the issues that matter to you mums today.
In recession-hit times, you might be looking for ways to have good family times on a budget.
You want to ensure your family have nourishing food whether something you can prepare quickly, something to bake with the children or something to present as a labour of love.
You will want to tap into helpful networks where you can find support with a range of issues including accessing training and support with work, study and business.
You might want to get involved in a good cause bringing you a new interest outside the home. Celebrating Mums is really keen to help mums to find a way whether through campaigning, fundraising, donating or volunteering.
On the darker days, you might need a little lift and we aim to hit you with a little inspirational back-up every day.
Celebrating Mums is the brainchild of Kate Davis-Holmes.
Kate is in her early forties with two sons and one daughter. She is married although does confess to doing the parent bit before she got the ring on the old finger.
Kate has a degree in Law from Cambridge Universty. She has over 20 years experience of promoting goods, services and concepts both to the general public, specific communities of interest and in the media.
Kate has always had a keen interest in social justice and has worked in charities at local, regional and national levels.
Kate has also always wanted women to get a fairer deal in society and for mums to be acknowledged and valued for the work they do and not just on Mother’s Day.
Kate lives on a smallholding with her husband, children and elderly father along with a menagerie of animals.
Kate enjoys bargain-hunting, travelling, cookery and dining out, theatre and walking.
Kate has a passion for writing enjoying the playfulness and power of words.
