Encouraging Your Children To Feed the Birds

Today is Feed the Birds Day and Celebrating Mums have tried out a bird-feeding package from Nature’s Feast (http://www.naturesfeast.co.uk/)

Nature’s Feast is the home of the very best in wild bird care, offering a wide choice of bird food, feeders, treats and accessories to help attract more wild birds into your garden.

The kit we tried out included a bird feeder and a selection of wild bird food. My little girl loved going out with her Daddy to choose the perfect place for the feeder. The wild bird food looked really colourful and tempting too. We have definitely noticed an increase in birds coming into our garden. It made a special event which always helps when you have to fill in a Half-Term holiday with activities.

The kit also had a children’s pack which aims to educate children about the importance of feeding and caring for wild birds. It includes a host of activities to keep them busy including a make your own Bird Feeder, Cut & Colour Birds, Bird Watch Bingo and a Birds Study Record. That gives enough entertainment for the whole family and for different ages to get involved with. My little girl liked learning the interesting facts about wild birds and their feeding habits.

What surprised me was that receiving the kit reminded me of my own childhood and has stimulated a renewed interest in spotting birds and learning about the different types.

The feeder and the accompanying materials were of high quality and makes a really lovely and that bit different gift.
