ThePrizeFinder – UK Competitions

As if this Celebrating Mums competition is not exciting enough, we have are pleased to tell you about the lovely way in which Isla Negra are celebrating the British coastline and how this might lead to even more goodies for lucky winners of their competition.

Which beach is best? Celebrate the inspirational UK and Irish coast with Isla Negra

Two thirds of people from the British Isles have voted our British and Irish beaches and coastline as the place where they feel most inspired and relaxed, beating lakes, rivers and hills, research from winery Isla Negra reveals. As a nation of beach lovers, do you think that your favourite beach is the most inspiring in the British Isles? Are you proud of your pier, do you have a secret cove to share or a sea view that takes your breath away? This summer Chilean winery Isla Negra is looking for fellow lovers of the coast to help build an amazing interactive map of the UK and Irish coast which will allow you to travel along the coastline revisiting the beaches of your childhood and finding new beauty spots.

Next time you’re inspired by the coast, point, click and upload your photo to our interactive map for the chance to win prizes including cash and a digital SLR camera. The overall winning image will feature on the label of thousands of limited edition bottles of Isla Negra wine on sale up and down the country!

Over the summer Isla Negra will be visiting hot spots on the British coast, giving away samples of its wines, delivering a sneak preview of the interactive map and offering the chance to be among the first to upload images to the site. To find out where you can try some Isla Negra wines and for more information visit www.facebook.com/islanegrawine and look out for our Airstream caravan in seaside towns this summer.

Isla Negra is named after and inspired by the beautiful seaside town of Isla Negra in Chile’s Valparaiso region, known for being one of the most beautiful and enchanting spots on Chile’s central coast and home to a community of artists including romantic poet Pablo Neruda.

Because there is a foreshore before the road they are both good for children who tend to try to escape from their parents – you have more chance of catching them before they reach the road!

  158. My favourite British beach is Porthmeor at St. Ives in Cornwall. This is a fantastic place. The sand is clean and it’s that fabulous white that you thought only existed in the tropics.
This beach is family friendly, there are areas where you can be private, such as by the cliffs on the right hand side of the beach or the rest of the huge expanse of sand where you can people watch all day long.
There are rock pools, ideal for little people to explore and there is even the chance of seeing a dolphin as they regularly swim around this coast.
One of the best things about this beach is that it faces West, so if you can hang around until sunset it is spectacular! We had a BBQ picnic on this beach on the day of the Royal Wedding earlier this year. I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed a bank holiday more than that fabulous day!
