Top Tips for using Mustard at your BBQ

If you’re looking for that je ne sais quoi to add flavour and flair to your barbecue this year, then look no further… Grey Poupon Dijon mustard is perfect for sizzling summer barbecues.

Co-invented by an Englishman and a Frenchman, it’s the only Dijon mustard to use white wine in its recipe, which not only gives it a wonderfully smooth and rich flavour, but also makes it incredibly versatile. Bangers, burgers, salmon or vinaigrettes and dressings for your salads, whatever you’re serving, Grey Poupon is this season’s indispensible, ‘ must have’ mustard.

Useful hints and tips

Ø Mix two tsps of Grey Poupon Dijon Mustard with a tbsp of good quality mayonnaise, three tbsp of crème fraiche or natural yoghurt and a tsp of chopped chives. Serve as a dip for crisps and crudités or serve as a condiment with sausages, burgers and chicken.

Ø Make deliciously moreish speedy homemade burgers, add a tbsp of Grey Poupon Dijon Mustard to your finely chopped or minced beef, grate in one onion, mix in an egg and a handful of breadcrumbs, season and form into burger shaped balls.

Ø Make a delicious, quick and easy mustard and honey marinade for chicken. Mix 1 tbsp of Grey Poupon Dijon Mustard to 4 tbsp of clear honey, add a squeeze of lemon juice and season to taste. Leave to marinade for 30 minutes before cooking.

Ø If your Grey Poupon Mustard jar is nearly empty add 3 tbsps of extra virgin olive oil, ½ tbsp of lemon juice, ½ tsp of runny honey, a pinch of salt and black pepper to the jar, screw the lid back on tightly and shake until all the ingredients are combined. Add more lemon/oil/sugar to taste and serve drizzled over a fresh salad or vegetables.
