THE LITTLE BOY WITH THE BIG ART
When Jack Henderson’s little brother Noah became a frequent in-patient at The Royal Hospital
for Sick Children in Edinburgh, six-year-old Jack turned to his crayons to say thank you! After
a family friend bought one of his drawings for 20p, Jack came up with the idea “to draw anything” in return for
donations to the hospital that treats his two-year-old brother. His parents set up a website and thought they might make £100. After two weeks, Jack had over 500 picture requests and had raised over £10,000 for the Sick Kids Friends Foundation. Their fundraising target has been raised and repeatedly smashed. The new figure now
exceeds £26,000.

JACK HENDERSON, LITERARY SENSATION
Jack is set to become one of Britain’s youngest authors when Hodder Children’s Books publish Jack Draws Anything in October. The book will feature a collection of Jack’s drawings and will tell the stories behind the pictures. A share of profits from its sale will go to the Sick Kids’ Friends Foundation.
Anne McNeil, Publishing Director of Hodder Children’s Books, said:
“The joy of a book like this is the authentic creativity and kindness of the child at the heart of it. Thank you to Jack. We’re so proud to publish it.”
600 DRAWINGS, 48 FELT TIP PENS, 32 CRAYONS AND 1 ARTIST
Jack is nearing the end of his requests and is due to finish at the end of October. He spends around 30 to 40 minutes on each picture and gets to choose which picture to do next. Publication of Jack Draws Anything will coincide with the end of the fundraising campaign.

Thanks for writing about Jack, really do appreciate the support.
