Joining in with the weekly blog hop that helps us focus on the positives in our life. If you have not joined in so far, let me assure you of the great welcome you will receive from a lovely group of bloggers who are very human and very appreciative of life’s little pleasures.
Here are my reasons this week…
1. Out of the blue, I heard that Emma Forbes, TV presenter, author and mum is a fan of Celebrating Mums. Celebrity endorsement is always helpful and makes me all the more determined to welcome the real stories of real mums on this site. Emma has started the ball rolling for us by answering questions on motherhood, success, support and her new book Life and Soul. If you want to know what Emma thinks about this site, pop over to the inspirational quotes section.
2. I have referred mums on to appropriate agencies following our carnival on post-natal depression where brave women shared their stories. It is true that by sharing the difficult stuff, you almost always end up supporting someone else out there.
3. I have a very excited little girl who has just joined her school choir and will be peforming in a Young Voices concert just before my birthday. If you don’t know, Young Voices brings pupils from hundreds of schools together for stadia events around the UK. I missed out on my son’s show last year and cried for most of the day. This year, I fully intend to see this wonderful life-affirming event.
Not a bad week then?
